Welcome to GamersPortal.com!

If you have any questions regarding the following privacy policy, please feel free to contact us.

Information on GamersPortal.com

Information you provide

When registering for a Gamers Portal, account users are prompted for username, email, first name, last name, gender, birthdate, and country of residence. There are additional fields within a user portal that can be populated after registration, such as a bio, game collections, aliases, and more.

Communication on the Site

All communication on the site made by a user, or from user to user, is stored in our database. This includes private messages sent from one user to another, or messages posted to private areas of the site. Storage of these communications is necessary for users to be capable of reviewing previously sent messages at a later date.

Log Information

In addition to information users provide, GamersPortal.com also collects information such as system specifications, country, and general traffic statistics.

Cookies

When you visit GamersPortal.com and log in, we send one or more cookies to be stored on your local hard drive. Cookies are a string of alphanumeric characters that uniquely identifies your browser. Cookies do not store anything in terms of personal information; think of them as a wristband or stamp you get when you go to a club… Your name isn't on it, but it lets you leave and enter the club without someone looking at your ID again. Our cookies currently only store a security token that allows you to move about the site without having to constantly verify your login details.

External Links

This policy only applies to GamersPortal.com and does not encompass any links you may visit that are posted on the site. Almost all content on GamersPortal.com is user-generated, and Gamers Portal will not be held responsible for the content of user-posted links. In other words, we cannot control what sites you visit by way of links posted anywhere on GamersPortal.com. This applies to links from both other users and staff of Gamers Portal.

What we will do with this information

Information displayed on your portal

All information you provide to populate your user portal is displayed to any registered GP.com user by default. Within your dashboard settings you will be given privacy options that will allow you to specify who is granted access to view specific items your portal. As with any information you choose to display on the internet, you should be careful to only publish details that you are comfortable with strangers viewing.

Sharing

Absolutely NONE of your personal information entered on the GamersPortal.com website will EVER be shared with any 3rd parties. This includes, but is not limited to, all the fields mentioned above.

At most, the information users have entered will be used for industry and customer trending data. This will allow Gamers Portal to better service our users and provide the best experience possible.

As mentioned above, by default your portal information is viewable by anyone with a Gamers Portal account. As we continue to increase our testing userbase, the number of people that can view your public information will grow.

How your information is protected

We are focused on protecting user information by securing our servers in accordance with industry best practices and standards. Our password protection utilizes high-complexity hashes with AES encryption.

We at Gamers Portal are extremely committed to protecting your information, but the most important protection comes from you, the user. Make sure you do not share your personal information with anyone: not your mom, your best friend, your dog, and especially not your teammates. Falling outs happen, and there is very little we can do to verify and recover your identity and your personal information. Be careful with your login details.
